The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild OST Review

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Original Soundtrack was the first major OST for the Nintendo Switch. The trailer theme from the 2017 Presentation sold me into buying Breath of the Wild day one. Breath of the Wild takes truly takes a new route. Kin to it's name, this soundtrack is a breath of fresh air. With ranges from abstract to majestic, Zelda Breath of the Wild OST delivers a breath-taking experience, while daring to try something new. With constant 10/10 review scores, and this being the 2017 Game of the Year, is this a 10/10 soundtrack?

Zelda Breath of the Wild is composed by Manaka Kataoka; Yasuaki Iwata; Hajime Wakai. However, today's artist spotlight goes to Hajime Wakai who has composed tons of titles for Nintendo for over 20 years. He has composed songs from Star Fox 64 to Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2, to being the sound designer of Zelda Breath of the Wild. He's was also the sound designer for previous Zelda titles such as Wind Waker HD, and Skyward Sword. To be the person who obtains or even creates the sounds used for this soundtrack is incredible since the selection of sounds of nothing short of being epic. After thoroughly listening to this soundtrack, he was the right man for the job.
